There’s more than thc and cbd

Having been in the industry for over ten years, I forget sometimes about the basics and that not everyone understands. So here’s a quick breakdown of what’s inside cannabis and hemp that are so valuable.

Cannabinoids - chemical compounds that’s grow on the plant. Examples:

•Thc - causes a “high” and euphoric feeling

• CBD - anti inflammatory, anti anxiety etc.

• CBN - pain relief and inducing sleep

• CBG - known to suppress appetite

then there are terpenes. They grow on the plant during the curing process and not as much during the growing process. They are bacteria that also have massive benefits. Some examples are Limonene, Terpinolene, Beta Caryophylene.

It’s important to understand that there are many of these. As laws progress and funds are allocated for research, we will see more cannabinoid and terpene based drugs being used to cure ailments.
